Formed in spring 2003, by songwriter and front man Mark Bjornsgaard, five-piece Ohm are far from just another finely-crafted corporate product that’s dropped off the end of the fame school conveyer belt.
Exquisite song writing, the politics of Rage Against the Machine and a unique sound; with a brain behind them and substance within, Ohm are an antidote to the mindless music that floods the charts today, where pop has become something devoid of feeling and meaning. It’s hard to believe that the city that spawned Atomic Kitten and Sonia has finally produced something original and revolutionary again.
Too often artists are afraid to make a statement about the world in which we live - Ohm are a challenge to those who think that pop music can’t have soul or carry opinion.
Above all, Ohm write beautiful, uplifting, powerful songs that make you want to pogo around the dance floor. Every second of tender, aching melody is matched perfectly with a moment of aggressive and exhilarating rock music.
