Propagandhi

Bio

Forged in the flames of early-80s political hardcore & speed metal Propaghandi are a fiercly political punk/metal band with equally political lyrics. These tattoo-less, coloured hair-less, piercing-less, track-pants & hockey-jacket-waering loogans bumbled their way into a life of resistance culture back in 1993 with the release of their debut album 'How To Clean Everything'. This was Fat Wreck's second full-length release and the band responded to their new-found fame by blowing off tours, playing in car-parks to homeless people who couldn't care less about them & waiting 3 years to record '96's 'Less Talk More Rock'- an interesting, if not ham-fisted polemic that railed against political, social and sexual authority of every form. It was even released without a barcode to cut out major distributors. Four years later they recorded their latest effort 'Todays Empires Tomorrows Ashes'. In those 4 years they Layed the foundations for the 'G7 Welcoming Commitee', a worker owned & operated record label dedicated to the expansion of resistance culture through music, print & spoken word. Propaghandi have proved there's a lot more to punk than girlfriends and bubblegum!
