Featuring the musicians of Refused minus the lead singer, Text's one album was recorded before the implosion of the influential hardcore band. Though rooted in hardcore music, the sound of Text stretches so far beyond genres as to be punk in spirit only. Their eponymously titled debut includes dark jazz, recited poetry, reggae electronica and accapella hardcore.
