The Jehu Explosion

Bio

After failing to win the Miss World 1998 final Tom realised his swimsuit days were over and focused on his other main interest, music. He now knew he wanted nothing more than to rock, so enlisting the help of former Paper Tree band mate Paul Brown he formed a band. Paul shared Toms desire to rock after his ambitions as a concert pianist had been dealt a huge blow by a freak rock-climbing accident scarring him mentally and physically for life.

Months of song writing ensued but the pair realised the world was not yet ready for a 'duelling power recorder combo' and so took up the more traditional instruments of drums and guitar. Tom became the singer as he was the more bearded of the two.
Chimaera bass lizard Mark Goodhew was then kidnapped and left in an abandoned warehouse for three months with nothing more than mould to survive on. After this ordeal his energy levels were low enough to succumb to Tom and Paul's powers of persuasion.

The line up was now complete.

The band then spent the next six months perfecting their instruments in the Himalayan mountains and Toms dream to 'Wail like Van Halen' was almost complete when disaster struck, it was not the 1980's any more. The group had to rethink their sound and lose the spandex leggings.
This brings us to the present day where The Jehu Explosion are still trying to perfect the raw animal sound they have created. In a world where every band has decks and backwards, red baseball caps are compulsory The Jehu Explosion dare to stand up and say:

‘The Jehu Explosion is not a crime’
