The Waxworks Waltz

Bio

When the dust settled we were the only three who could stand each other. Because of this, we hibernated, spending months creating a style somewhere between screaming electronica and falsetto folk. A fascination with new noises has led to an obsession with acquiring odd instruments from car boot sales, flea markets and alike. This unquestionably defines our sound.

Amidst basement rehearsals and battling skag whores, we recorded albums and albums worth of material and wrote soundtracks to several worrying independent films. After a brief hiatus we have sharpened up our live act and are now thrashing out our ideas in front of real people.

Our first demo EP "Death Ray!" has been well received, not least by Drowned in Sound. Below are some other comments about it. If you wanna hear more, please go to our website.

"It sounds like they've acquired a few instruments that are housing dead things" - Kitten Painting.

Of opening track 'Doll's Eyes & Marbles': "It creeps and crawls along, slithering closer as you look on horrified. This is a great thing for a song to do" - Kitten Painting.
