Villette were conceived in the Anglian countryside 18 months ago, when brothers William and Paul were compelled to form the perfect rock group; a seductive potion of music, poetry and romance. With Monsoon we took our first steps into the rock amphitheatre. However, it wasn't until the addition of GazCloud to our line-up that the true spirit was born.

There is a whole generation who crave a band like Villette to call their own. A group who appeal as much to the head as to the heart. Music to fall in love with and in love to. An outfit fired as much by the poetry, painting and passion of the Romantics as by the music of Kate Bush, early-REM, Leftfield and Sunny Day Real Estate. A quintessentially British band with universal appeal.

Villette recall a time when people were devoted to bands; a time when groups transformed the way that their fans considered their own lives, incorporating cultural spheres beyond music into a coherent group identity.
