and Gary Wolstenholme

It was a while ago that DiS declared Dananananaykroyd to be the "best live band in the UK right now", and on Monday night's evidence that's a mantle they've kept with aplomb ever since. Their DiScover show at The Harley was a perfect example of how utterly brilliant live music can be, if only the participants put a little effort into making it so. And through a combination of blood, sweat and (walls of) cuddles, that's precisely what Danana... did - their headline set left us all grinning like fools and sweating like rapists.

Support band Pulled Apart By Horses gave 'em a good run for their money, though, not least in the semi-naked indie-boy with guitar stakes. Tunes aplenty, too. Here's some pictures courtesy of DiS snapper Gary Wolstenholme - apart from the last two, which I took after things got a little too hairy at the front for him to be swinging thousands of pounds worth of lenses at...

DiScuss: were you there? Did you enjoy it as much as we all did? Is your face somewhere on this page? Are you coming to the Christmas special on December 8? Or Manchester next week?
