Dis Update: Mailout 3rd Sept 2002.

Hello outthere,
You rocking? Good, good. I just rediscovered 'Relationship of Command' buried amongst my cd collection and i think i need new speakers (or ears!). Just about to wander off to interview =Reuben= and see them playing the barfly with Kinesis and ThisGIRL. Ace night, shame that some magazine kelly jones called a "bunch of cunts" are promoting it! Ho hum.

Anyhoo, i'm not mailing to go on and on about me, me, MEEEE!!! Oh no. WE'VE GOT A NEW FRONTPAGE and I wanted to tell you all, all about it. It went live on Friday night, had a few amendments to it since then, and now. We're happy with it, kinda. Much better than before, etc... (I love it! other people are so cynical!) It allows us to select more content and show off more content in one big gulping go. But, WHAT DO YOU THINK? We always listen to you, cus you listen to us and we wanna know if you have any suggestions. Mail 'em my way....

On October 1st it'll be our SECOND BIRTHDAY and to celebrate, we're getting a new parental guidance, generation x (the book by Douglas Coupland, if you aint read it, read it, tis ace!) style LOGO and lots of STUFF is gonna happen. Like a proper MEMBERS CLUB, with a compilation CD of all our favourite new bands and maybe some rare stuff from old bands too - if the music industry will plays nicely. Between now and then the Users area will get a few more features and we're launching a TICKET SHOP with Ticketweb/Ticketmaster (same company really) and you may have noticed we've just teamed up with TOWER RECORDS. Rah! Plus I've been invited to talk on a panel at IN THE CITY which is a big music industry shebang to talk alongside other "Young Turks" on the Sunday such as the guy who signed The Streets and some moron responsible for Blazin' Squad. Should be a nice ranty life. The theme of it is the "state of the nation". RAH!

For those of you Londonbound, we've got another of our LOUD nights @ the Windmill in Brixton tomorrow featuring THE DOPAMINE THEORY, MERCURY TILT SWITCH and THE YOUNG KNIVES. All the info here If you come along, say hello to me, adie and any other dis staff lurking around, most probably drunk.

Lastly, we're looking for more people to review more diverse stuff for us. It's pretty obvious that we have anything LOUD, anything INDIE, anything verging on POP or METAL (same difference?) covered, but we need more people who wanna write about ELECTRONICA, HiP HOP, ART-ROCK... and anything else out there that fits in with our, your and the unknowing worlds mentality. If you know anyone or are that someone, drop me a line. We'll be taking on a few new peeps later this week and probably cutting the staff list back a bit from people who aint done owt for a year or so.

Cool, cool, best go make myself look beautiful and attack the trains of londinium. See some of ya tomorroz.
