Isn't the news depressing?
I mean, not just the rain but terror everywhere! george bully bush talking about how he's the only moron who's allowed nuclear bombs and some punk wannabe putting caps in asses on the streets of DC. and i didnt even mention n.ireland.. i just don't know. like the title to this issue goes (and i always try and make them a little bit relevant), revenge does make revenge.
sad but true.
i'm so glad i believe in nothing - ok, maybe i believe in the power of rock'n'roll, love, equality, inspiration and revolutions but nothing dangerous! We'll kill people like me and you on the streets of sadamland. we'll kill whoever, just cus they live there.

Luckily, to distract my rage, i rushed out this morning in the rain to treat myself to 'mono' by the icarus line and the new foo fighters album which is finally with us. tis fucken great - hardly surprising. cranked it up and continued reading Ben Myers' MUST-READ book called 'American Heretics' which i demand anyone who's ever bought a cd to goto codexbooks.com and buy it. the Rage Against the Machine interview reminded me exactly why i loved them once.

But anyway, gigs to be a-previewed, demo/mp3 of the week to do and fun to be had...

**MP3 of the WEEK**
THE KOREANS 'Machine Code'
http://www.drownedinsound.com/audio.php
...this track is absolutely ace. i've raved about this band for nearly a year now and even promoted a few shows for them because their magical, lazy cat, sleazy'ish, might-be-the-beatles-in-reverse, life'n'soul rock, is just so special, fresh and has to mean something years from now. It's my mission to let the world know about them. Clunk the link above and see what I mean.
