DiS Chat Room is Back!
DiS Chat Room is Back!
oappleby by Ollie Appleby June 6th, 2003
As some of you might have noticed, the old onsite chat room hasn't been working for a while. Well, that just wouldn't do, so we've finally got around to fixing it...

And fix it we have. Now, all new and improved, it's ready to go, not in one, not in two, but in three wholesome fruity flavours: Java, Trillian and good old mIRC.

The easiest way to get in is by hitting the Chat Room page and giving yourself a name in the top left corner of the window (unless your name just happens to be 'DiSkid327' already) and see what's going on.

To get in via the Trillian Messenger program (highly recommended by DiS as it replaces Microsoft, Yahoo, ICQ/AOL and IRC messengers with one system) just point your Trillian IRC client to irc.habber.net and join channel #dis.

Seasoned mIRC users will by now realise that all you need to do is hit the irc.habber.net server and join channel #dis as well.

It's been a while since the last DiS chat room broke, so we'll have to see how it goes, but for all of you who just find the Message Boards not quite fast enough to chat on, this should prove to be fun...
