eels : The World's Band
twhitehouse by Tim Whitehouse May 3rd, 2001
The latest addition to the Eels Orchestra 2000 (erm 2001) is John Parish, the PJ Harvey guitarist. The news was announced by E at a press conference held on the steps of the bands booking agent's headquarters.

"In a show of good faith, we are reaching out with hands across the water. There are English bands and there are American bands. With a funky Englishman named John Parish in the band, we have become the world's band. We are the world. And the world rocks."

The band will be playing on the main stage of this year's Reading and Leeds festivals. It is expected the set will include highlights of the as yet untitled album, to be released in the Autumn.
