Ben Folds to release collection of rare stuff
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver August 30th, 2006

Ben Folds is to release a collection of rare material in October, entitled supersunnyspeedgraphic, the lp. Yes, it's all one word and lower case, what about it?

Pitchfork - DiS's American brother from another mother according to, like, some people - reports that the twelve-track album will be released on October 24 on SonyBMG. That's a Tuesday, of course - expect it to be released a day earlier here, maybe. Or on some Monday or other, somewhen, soonish.

The record is, essentially, the follow-up to last year's Songs For Silverman long-player; the 'proper' follow-up to said album is being written right now. supersunny... includes songs taken from singles (b-sides, innit) and soundtracks, and features a handful of cover versions including The Darkness' 'Get Your Hands Off Of My Woman'. Motherfucker yeah.

The tracks have been remastered and all that jazz. Tracklisting as follows...

'In Between Days'
'All U Can Eat'
'Songs of Love'
'There's Always Someone Cooler Than You'
'Learn to Live With What You Are'
'Bitches Ain't Shit'
'Adelaide'
'Rent a Cop'
'Get Your Hands Off Of My Woman'
'Bruised'
'Dog'
'Still'

Rumours that Ben Folds is, in fact, a gangster with ties to LA's drug underworld are twaddle. But that is a Dr Dre cover up there. If you don't like him, blow him.
