Shoulda stuck to Kooka-Kola? Worst pun ever?
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver September 4th, 2006

The Kooks frontman - or boy, if this story's owt to go by - Luke Pritchard was allegedly arrested for underage drinking at the weekend, reports The Daily Mirror.

It's probably worth pointing out that Luke (pictured, center), although blessed with a particularly beardless face, is actually twenty-one. He can even legally booze it up in the States!

Briefly detained by police in west London, Pritchard was released once his parents had verified his age by phone. He had been drinking with friends in the area. A source told the tabloid:

"It was all going really well until they decided to leave just before closing time at 11pm... When they were asked for ID neither had anything on them.

"Luke was saying, 'Why don't you believe us?' He was very polite but there were a lot of people around and you could tell he was feeling hugely humiliated."

I can relate: this year I was asked my age at a pub in Highbury. I wasn't asked to provide any ID, though, once I said I was twenty-six. Which I am. There's a trick for you under-agers, though: tell 'em you're twenty-something rather than eighteen when challenged, and you'll be fine*.
