Squire moots Roses resurrection

Far be it from us to indulge in idle chit chat and gossip mongering, but recent comments by John Squire that The Stone Roses could reform in order to perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival instead of Kylie Minogue have set our hearts a' flutter...

Squire started reformation rumours off by mentioning in an interview with Time Out magazine that he is hoping to repair relations with ex-band mate Ian Brown and suggested that the pair should reunite at Glastonbury. Squire said to Time Out: “The plan is to make a ferocious guitar record on my own. And then put the Roses back together. Kylie’s pulled out (of Glastonbury), hasn’t she? Maybe we should do it.”

I mean, it's not going to happen, is it? Especially as our Ian B seems to be getting increasingly more righteously odd, but then again, stranger things have happened...
