Doing it for the kids: Jarvis, Tindersticks and more for comp
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly December 12th, 2006

Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Jarvis Cocker and Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian fame are to contribute to a compilation centering on the theme of childhood.

Songs For The Young At Heart, which also features Cerys Matthews and The Tindersticks' Stuart Staples, will be comprised of covers of children's songs and stories.

Staples and fellow Tinderstick Dave Boulter were inspired to put the album together after music triggered memories of their youth. It is to be released some time next year.

Track Listing:
'Theme For The Young At Heart'
'Uncle Sigmund´s Clockwork Storybook (sung by Robert Foster)'
'Florence's Sad Song (sung by Stuart Murdoch)'
'White Horses (sung by Cerys Matthews)'
'The Lion And Albert (told by Jarvis Cocker)'
'Robinson Crusoe'
'Hushabye Mountain (sung by Stuart Staples)'
'Morningtown Ride (sung by Suzanne Osborne)'
'Inch Worm (sung by Kurt Wagner)'
'Mary, Mungo And Midge'
'The Three Sneezes (told by Martin Wallace)'
'Puff The Magic Dragon (sung by Bonnie Prince Billy And Red)'
'Hey, Don´t You Cry (sung by Stuart Staples)'
