'Desert Session Vol 7&8' will be the first release on Josh Homme's new label Rekords Rekords. Continuing his highly successful series of recordings where he goes into the desert, with some of the most talented rock musicians of the day and allows the creative juices to flow unemcumbered by commercial restraints. It's said that Volumes 7 and 8 are "unquestionably the most intense, heavy, melodic and song orientated of the series."
Guests on this session feature Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, QOTSA) Samantha Maloney (Hole, Motley Crue) Natasha Schneider (Eleven, Chris Cornell Band) and Brendan MacNichol (QOTSA, Masters of Reality) to name a few.
The album is out on the 24th September through Rekords Rekords on CD and double 10 inch.
