Blink and you’ll miss ‘em - The White Stripes have played a one-second gig this week as part of their unorthodox Canadian tour.
Honestly, if it was anyone else we’d be starting to resent the free publicity.
Hundreds of fans flocked to a last-minute show in St John's on July 16 to hear Jack and Meg play a single note – allegedly a C-sharp - before announcing that they have "now officially played in every province and territory in Canada".
The band went on to play a full set across town later that evening at the Mile One Stadium.
Other highlights of the band’s quirky tour include gigs on boats, bridges, classrooms and suchlike.
