While Klaxons are celebrating this morning after scooping the annual Mercury Prize, and the £20,000 that comes with it, one British band is less than bothered by the award.
Tom Clarke - frontman of Coventry band The Enemy - told something called Orange World (presumably something to do with those mobile phone people):
"I don't give a shit about them. I really couldn't be arsed what a bunch of journalists decide who should win an award, when you've got awards that are voted for by people then fair play because they're the people that matter.
"They're the people that go out and buy albums and they're the people that count at the end of the day."
And he might have a point, as The Enemy's We'll Live And Die In These Towns album made number one earlier this summer, while Klaxons' Myths Of The Near Future could only reach number two. If that can be considered a point. Do you care? Oh, forget about it...
