Weekend whetting: Youthmovies single out, live show this Sunday
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver February 26th, 2008

With the peak looming and the slide to another weekend just over yonder hillock, it’s time attentions turned to Monday next’s releases, particularly the new Youthmovies (pictured) single.

Yeah yeah – JAG, whatever. If you were working at a company where the label wing of said organisation was putting out something as great as ‘The Naughtiest Girl Is A Monitor’ in a few days, you’d be pimping that news about, too. So, suck it in and check out the video if you’ve not already:

‘TNGIAM’ – released on both limited-edition seven-inch (this week’s vinyl pick in NME no less) and digital download – precedes the release of Youthmovies’ long-anticipated debut album proper, Good Nature, on March 17. In case you hadn’t guessed by now, both come your way via Drowned In Sound Recordings.

Gig-goers of London town, read on: Youthmovies play second fiddle to the beyond-excellent Dead Meadow this Sunday, March 2, at the Scala. So, get your ears filled with melodious joy followed by epic psychedelic drone after passing your neglected mother the sole bunch of posies she gets every twelve by clicking HERE for tickets and further information. A double JAG? Is that a CRAINE? What year is this?

The show also features The Owl Service and yours truly on DJing duty... phat. Or something.

Add this show to your gig calendar HERE

All out of pluggin’ breath, yours in anticipation of some Good Times…
