Monkey Whispers
rubbafish by Colin Weston February 8th, 2002
The king of the indie swingers, Ian Brown, is to release a new single. Titled 'Whispers' it will be his second release of last years album ‘Music Of The Spheres’.

The single is described as 'filled with airy guitar, and a bass line as good as any you’ll hear this year, ‘Whispers’ sucks you in before swelling with a dramatic and biting strings section that makes for an explosive chorus. With the sound of satellites and space speeding through your head'..... which is nice.

The CD single is set to include the previously unreleased ‘Superstar’ and a re-recording of ‘My Star’, Ian's first solo release. Also there is a CD Rom of the video for the title track. Also released is a 7", with the b-side being the Spanish language track ‘El Mundo Pequeno’.

In addition to this, there is also to be a DVD single which will include the audio and video versions of ‘Whispers’, as well as a full length interview Ian did with Tony Wilson for a Grenada region TV show.
