Shady Bard, It Hugs Back and more for DiS show in London, tomorrow + WIN tickets
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver April 7th, 2008

Tomorrow, London: come sway so-slow to the soothing sounds of Shady Bard, and more, at a neat lil’ show at the capital’s Bardens Boudoir venue.

The Birmingham indie-folksters (check out our 9/10 review of their From The Ground Up LP here) feature on a bill of four pieced together with a little assistance from us DiS types (who will be down to lend DJ support on the night); doors open at 8pm and tickets are six of your English pounds on the door.

Enviably brilliant support comes from London alt-(post)-rockers Prego, Kent’s grunge-gone-pop sorts It Hugs Back, and superb singer-songwriter gent from up north Paul Marshall. Links, find ‘em in the details below (running order: top band on last, bottom first).

In related news, Paul Marshall has recently signed to Bella Union, as this blog post makes clear. Good times, good times.

Competition: DiS has two pairs of tickets to give away for this show, collectable on the door. To be in with a chance, leave a comment below answering this question: “What should I have for lunch today?”

Winners will be sent a note through the site by 2pm tomorrow (April 8). Good luck!
