Porky pies: Weezer tracklist new album, confirm single
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly April 21st, 2008

That man is a liar! Finally, the new Weezer single’s been absolutely, definitely confirmed as ‘Pork and Beans’ (it’s been floating around on the internet for a while already). There’s an official tracklisting for their new, self-titled album, too.

Weezer will be released some time in June in the UK, (reported previously as the 16th; the 24th is confirmed in the US), as will that single, which isn’t the twelve letter word beginning with ‘T’ and ending in ‘r’ that frontman Rivers Cuomo originally claimed.

Does that really matter to anyone outside of the band’s hardcore of fans? Probably not, though we’ll see when ‘Troublemaker’ leads this set of songs out through Polydor this summer:

‘Troublemaker’
‘The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)’
‘Pork and Beans’
‘Heart Songs’
‘Everybody Get Dangerous’
‘Dreamin’’
‘Thought I Knew’
‘Cold Dark World’
‘Automatic’
‘The Angel and the One’

The US version contains four bonus tracks, though it’s not yet known if ‘Miss Sweeney’, ‘Pig’, ‘The Spider’ and ‘King’ will be appended onto Weezer’s UK release.
