Commenting on Si’s arrival, vocalist Leigh Oates commented: "We're looking forward to getting down to some serious work with Si. His drumming style's extremely powerful and will definitely add a new dimension to the band." Si, who's last band Earthtone 9 split after a 6 year stretch, added: "It’s my kinda thing, it’s got a real edge to it, and I’m totally up for contributing as much as possible to Ninedenine."

Having already supported the likes of Vex Red and Alabama Thunderpussy, Ninedenine could be heading towards the forefront of the next generation of new British metal bands, the band are already attracting interest both here in the UK and in Europe with their four track "Scars" EP, with rehearsals underway and more live dates expected later in the year, watch this space...
