Earth to Chemicals: beatmeisters unveil 'Midnight Madness' video
dionisio by Rob Webb September 16th, 2008

You know how it is, you get back from the pub after a session, and what do you do? Order a takeaway? Fire up the PlayStation for some Guitar Hero action, maybe?

The Chemical Brothers wanted to find out for themselves, so they invited fans to submit videos of their nocturnal activities tagged with Google Earth locations for inclusion in their video for current single 'Midnight Madness' (see what they did there?). The pair picked the best, and the results have been edited into the clip you see below. To view the Google Earth project in its entirety, have a gander at The Chems' official website.

In related news, you may have heard the rumours that MGMT were planning to enlist the help of the brothers Chemical for their next LP. Well, those rumours have been scotched by the former. Says their Myspace blog:

"Contrary to another internet rumour, though they be rad dudes, the Chemical Brothers will not be producing MGMT's next album"
