Muse do a worldwide USB stick treasure hunt
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater July 17th, 2009

Space-rock trio Muse have masterminded a worldwide treasure hunt for their fans, involving USB sticks being hidden in various cities across the globe.

On the USB sticks? The track 'United States Of Eurasia' from their upcoming LP The Resistance. Worth having if you fancy hearing it, then...

Six of these USB sticks have been given to 'agents' across the world. To get on the chase, fans need to enter a code on the official website. Then, you can help solve puzzles for your own amusement.

Clues for the locations of the USB sticks and times for 'pick-ups' are all going to be on the official site, and discussion, if you're into that sort of thing, can be found here.

So far, the Paris and Berlin USBs have been retrieved - boo hoo! - but the other ones in Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong and Moscow are still on the go, as you can see from the map thingamy on the microsite.

Oh, and kind as Muse are, they've got a 1 minute 12 second clip on their website of 'United States Of Eurasia' for streaming.

Here's the band doing what they do absolutely best.
