Win! Tickets to Sleeping States' UK tour
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater August 19th, 2009

Sleeping States - a.k.a Markland Starkie - need more love, it has to be said. We gave his In The Gardens Of The North a gigantic 9/10 earlier in the month, but it's not enough.

So, to redress this, we're giving away a pair of tickets for every night of the UK tour, which kicks off in Glasgow very, very soon indeed.

These are the dates and places of the tour:

Monday 24 August – Glasgow, The Captain’s Rest
Tuesday 25 August – Edinburgh, Sneaky Pete’s (Edinburgh Fringe event)
Wednesday 26 August – Hull, The Adelphi
Thursday 27 August – Norwich, Arts Centre
Monday 31 August – Brighton, Freebutt
Tuesday 1 September – London, The Bath House
Wednesday 2 September – Manchester, The Corner
Thursday 3 September – Birmingham, The Hare And Hounds
Friday 4 September – Coventry, Taylor John's

All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to your chosen night is answer the following question, send in a PM to myself (Luke Slater), which you can do so by clicking on my name at the top of this article. It's simple.

Q: On what record label do Sleeping States reside?

  • A) Def Jux
  • B) Bella Union
  • C) Epitaph

Include your full name, the answer, and which show you'd like tickets for in your message. The cut-off date for entries is 11.59PM on the day before the event you want to go to. Winners will be picked randomly, we promise.

Watch the below video for 'Gardens Of The South' for a taste of Sleeping States.
