It will have hopefully not escaped your attention that, while we were away for Christmas, the supremely talented Athens singer-songwriter Vic Chesnutt sadly passed away, aged 45. Rest in peace.

It will have probably also not escaped your attention that we're big Hefner and Darren Hayman fans here at DiS, as are many of you wonderful people. Darren has recorded a version of Vic's track 'Gravity Of The Situation', along with a video, filmed at his very own home, possibly in his bedroom. Though it looks more like a music room to me. It's pretty much Darren, his voice, and violinist Dan Mayfield. A tribute of sorts, if you will.
