Listen: The Icarus Line return with two new tracks
sean by Sean Adams February 23rd, 2010

Few bands have been as lauded by DiS' writers and readers as The Icarus Line but then, few bands are as raw, resolute and we'll-run-you-over-'n-piss-on-your-scabby-wounds as LA's only true contemporary rock 'n' rollers (stick that down your No Age pipe and toke on it!^).

2007's Black Lives At the Golden Coast feels like forever ago but this 10/10 from 2004 by Mike Diver feels as fresh and raw in my mind as these new tracks do in my ears.

I could blather and blather, going on and on about how good this is or you could just fricken listen, so:

Lynchpin, mouth-piece and bloodshot-troublemaker Joe Cardamone says:

“We Sick is our newest attempt at communicating to the rest of the world in a language that hope fully lands as universal and the guitars are really harsh too. The title comes from a quote in a movie about Watts. Holy Man is an appropriate partner because it is the unofficial anthem of the east side pusher. The corner quack or ghetto entrepreneur. Both of these tunes are a perfect gateway into the new full length.”

Visit their blog for buy links and if you're in LA, catch them at the following show this week:
