Listen: Download new Bright Eyes track 'Shell Games'
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater January 6th, 2011

With a brand new record on the way, it's high time that Conor Oberst and Bright Eyes pulled their collective fingers out and gave us something for free. This is now exactly what they have done in releasing the first snippet (read: a whole track) from their upcoming album, entitled The People's Key.

The track is called 'Shell Games' and can be downloaded via the Saddle Creek Website, which can be found here. The record, which comes out on February 14, comes in a variety of formats, some of them with additional and bonus tracks and what not. Those purchasing via iTunes receive a non-album track in 'Singularity' and those buying certain packages direct from Saddle Creek get that track plus ANOTHER bonus track - 'In The Real World'.

The album contains the following tracks.

Full track list for The People’s Key:

  1. Firewall
  2. Shell Games
  3. Jejune Stars
  4. Approximate Sunlight
  5. Haile Selassie
  6. A Machine Spiritual
  7. Triple Spiral
  8. Beginner's Mind
  9. Ladder Song
  10. One For You, One For Me

There was also a recently-announced London show, which takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on June 23 this year. I'm pretty sure that will have sold out, but keep your eyes trained for a competition here or there as there's bound to be.
