Constellations and SWN announce new additions inc. Stephen Malkmus and Aidan Moffat
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater July 27th, 2011

We thought about bringing back the ol' Festival News Round Up, but then decided against it. We thought it'd be better just to combine two festivals and write one news story about it. The festivals which we are concerned with this time are Leeds's Constellations, which was a right rollicking good time last year, and SWN Festival, which takes place in Cardiff.

Right so let's do this in alphabetical order, starting with Constellations.

Joining Wild Beasts, Yuck and The Antlers will be this merry lot:

Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks
Three Trapped Tigers
Spectrals
Vondelpark
Braids
Givers
Islet
Big Deal
Fear Of Me

That festival, as mentioned above, takes place at Leeds University on November 12. More information on it can be found here. And now, onto SWN. They've added an absolute shitload of bands. All listed below, too. In alphabetical order, like.

Aidan Moffat & Bill Wells, Brandyman, Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, Cymbals, Deaf Club, Esben & The Witch, Fixers, Ivan Moult, Iwan Huws, Hail! The Planes, Holland, Jodie Marie, Joshua Caole, LA2019, Lewis Floyd Henry, Melodica, Melody & Me, Monument Valley, Sam Duckworth, Sen Segur, Strange News From Another Star, The Nightingales, The Skull Defekts, Three Trapped Tigers, Truckers of Husk, Ugly Duckling, Veronica Falls, Winter Villains, Violas, Y Niwl, Zun Zun Egui

Like we said, a shitload. SWN takes place in Cardiff from 20-23 October. More information on that here.
