Pulp announce first details of their 'festival'
oappleby by Ollie Appleby August 29th, 2002
Pulp are to play a special one off day long 'festival' at the Magna Science Adventure Centre with all of the bands and DJs at the event to be picked by them.

The band will play the special show, located between (Pulp's hometown) Sheffield and Rotherham, on December 14. The full show is being planned to feature "four stages and a lengthy list of bands and DJs, hand picked by Pulp" according to www.pulponline.com.

Also the rumor is that a 'Greatest Hits' album package is being planned for a November/December release, and for a band who've been around a lot longer than you'd think they have quite a bit to choose from...

Full details of the event, times and lineups etc are to be revealed sometime in September, such sparse information has been announced this early as the date coincides with Oasis' forthcoming show at the Sheffield Arena announced yesterday (as reported by us here) so they've had to rush this info out quickly.

will 2 arena/festival events this big even be able to co-exist on the same day?
