SPAN: Goin Down
sean by Sean Adams October 1st, 2002
Span! Span! SPAAAANN! The second most dis-loved band of Reading this year, beaten only by the mighty =Weezer=, well, they are set to bring their stadium punk back to our shores throughout ROCKTOBER touring with Vendetta Red! Oh, and there's a single too!! Are We Excited? You betcha!

The single, their first for the corporation ( Universal/Island) is going to be live favourite 'On My Way Down' (blow job puns a-go-go!) and the singles also got 'Stuck In The Middle' and it is out 29th October. You can get it on Limited edition 7" and CD. For all the nerds, it's produced by Teo Miller (Placebo, Blur) and the second track is by the man responsible for making Biffy Clyro and Kinesis sound kinda bland (we prey, for his sake, he hasn't done the same to Span!), Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Anthrax).

Anyhoo, the ROCKtober tour, with Vendetta Red climaxes with two headline shows; one hometown show @ Blaa in Oslo, and a date at London’s famous-for-the-sex-pistols-jazz-club, the 100 Club... Make sure you don't miss them at the following places in October...

06 Wolverhampton Little Civic
07 Manchester Roadhouse
09 Glasgow King Tuts
10 Leeds Cockpit
11 London Underworld
12 Southampton Joiners
14 Cardiff Barfly
25 Oslo Blaa (HEADLINE)
30 London 100 Club (HEADLINE)

See ya there with rock signs on!
