A lot of people hate Reef, mostly because they're lumped in with yankie-crooner, fluffy-chested rock (see also: Black Crowes or Pearl Jam or Creed.. Eurgh! Yuk! Yukkity yuk!) and constantly trapped by that horrible Tfi "It's your letters!" thing Chris Evans loved so much. People generally don't know about the 1995 debut 'Replenish' with its mellowing, soaring, Led Zep getting stoned with the Stones at a beach partyness.. but anyway, a lot of people hate Reef. They're a straight forward, entertaining, stadium-filling, british rock band, of course people are gonna hate them!
The last album 'Getaway' was a bit of a let-down for reef fans, it just sounded like Reef being Reef. It may surprise some people then that they have a 'Best of..' coming out later this month… hang on… no, that's not happening anymore! The 'Best of..' with 5 new songs, including the new single 'Give me Your Love' (which was meant to be out this week) has now been delayed til January 2003. There's not been any announcement as to why. But the November tour is onsale…
