Bright Eyes: Oberst Love on Our Shores
sean by Sean Adams October 18th, 2002
You will probably either love or loathe Conor Oberst aka BRIGHT EYES, but regardless, he's got a new single and is coming to play his morosely sweet, heart-broken folk all over our country... and chicks dig moaners.

The new single is out Nov 11th via Wichita and is 'Lover I Don't Have To Love', from the stoopidly longly titled lp 'Lifted or The Story Is In The Soil, Keep Your Ear To The Ground'. The b-sides for the single comprise of a new song 'Amy In The White Coat' and a cover of Neil Young's 'Out On The Weekend.'

And like all releases, there's a tour to go with it... It's the Nebraskan's first UK and Europe dates in over a year. For those who wanna know, he'll an 11 piece line-up comprising of regular Bright Eyes players and members of U.S. label-mates The Good Life and Azure Ray and those two bands will support. We believe all shows are already sold out - however, there is an additional show at London's ULU on December 7th.

Anyway, here are the dates..

November
Tue 5 Brighton Komedia
Wed 6 Leeds Joseph's Well
Thu 7 Glasgow King Tuts
Fri 8 Belfast Queens University (Belfast Festival)
Sat 9 Dublin Whelans
Mon 11 Manchester Night & Day
Tue 12 London Dingwalls

December
Sat 7 London ULU
