Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol) and friends (members of Idlewild, Arab Strap, Mogwai, Belle & Sebastian, Eva, Teenage Fanclub, Alfie...) play a rare live show with full line-up at Glasgow QMU on December 14th. The gig is in aid of local homeless charity COLD.
Homelessness is a international problem with so few solutions that can be help, without governments being as radical as Robin Hood. There is a lot you can do to help the people locally in extreme poverty, like (these are just my suggestions) giving homeless people a cup of tea or buy them some food instead of 50p. As as the same for everyone, knowledge is power, so so simple advice could make all the difference i.e. stop standing around poor journo's and nurses who barely have any more money than you and get to a taxi rank or outside some kebab shop or hassle insurance brokers and estate agents as they get to work.
