Reading/Leeds: Metallica to Headline!
sean by Sean Adams December 23rd, 2002
One of the most influential bunch of rockerz upon today's scene are set to headline the big rockshow of the year!

Reading wouldn't be Reading without some huuuge hairy rock legends somewhere on the bill and this year, we can announce that it will be Metallica at the top of the tree.

The band have posted tour dates on their official website, which go a little summat like this...

June 6-8 TBA Rock Am Ring GERMANY
June 6-8 TBA Rock Im Park GERMANY
June 13 Heineken Jammin' Festival ITALY
June 26 Roskilde Festival DENMARK
June 28 Werchter Rock Festival BELGIUM
Aug 21 Dublin IRELAND
Aug 22 Leeds Festival UK
Aug 24 Reading Festival UK

Read our reviews of last years weekender here.

DiScuss: Who do you hope they announce this year? Will Radiohead headline? Queens of the Stone Age? Deftones? System of a Down? Muse? CTC? Pennywise? Sigur Rós? Will Mean Fiddler see sense and not put any garage rock or ironic hair metal, especially on the mainstage when they've only released a couple of singles?!? Heard any rumours or confirmations?
