Lightyear to Split!
_kp_ by Kate Price August 6th, 2003
After 4 years of playing together, ska-punk maniacs Lightyear have decided to call it a day.

Household Name Records have confirmed rumours that their top band, Lightyear, have decided to split. According to the popular punk record labels website, "After 2 albums, 4 years of constant touring, millions of "Lightyear tour stories" (there are so many everyone who's ever met them will have their own favourite one) the band are off to pursue new adventures at university, maybe in new bands and on foreign travel."

Before it all ends, the band will be sealing their name as one of the hardest touring bands ever with another gruelling 20-date tour of the UK, ending with an inevitably crazy gig in the bands hometown of Derby.
