Drat: UK Tour Is Go!
rubbafish by Colin Weston September 30th, 2003

Northern Irish pop-rockers Drat return to the UK next month for another jaunt around our fair isle.

After their last tour several months ago in support of their self-financed 'Brittle Pale Blue E.P.' (reviewed here) the band are now set to undertake a DiS approved (aka we think you should go check these guys out if you can!) 15-date tour taking in most areas with the exception of Wales. The band explain why:

'We haven't been able to find Wales yet. Even though it looks quite big on the map (bigger than an average sized plate) it has eluded us thus far. To compensate for the lack of gig in Wales, we will spend one of our free days speaking in Welsh accents. Drat hopes that this will compensate adequately for our absence.'

The full tour dates are as follows :-

October

Mon 6th - Exeter, Cavern Club
Tues 7th - Bristol, Louisianna
Weds 8th - Plymouth, Tramps
Thurs 9th - London, The Windmill
Fri 10th - Brighton, The Cowley Club
Sat 11th - Nottingham, Junktion 7
Mon 13th - Liverpool, Barfly Masque Venue
Tues 14th - Manchester, Night & Day
Weds 15th - Wakefield, Bretton Hall Campus
Thurs 16th - Leeds, Royal Park Cellars
Sat 18th - Glasgow, The 13th Note
Mon 20th - Leicester, The Shed
Tues 21st - London, Dublin Castle
Weds 22nd - Edinburgh, Bannerman's
Thurs 23rd - Aberdeen, Dr Drake's

The band's new album, '(bEe)', will be available on the tour, and is also available from the band's official website Double Drat.
