War is Three-Times Over Already...
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver December 4th, 2003
"So this is Christmas, and what have you done?"

Well, we've released three versions of the same song John, do you mind?

With the Pop Idol finalist's version of 'Happy Xmas (War Is Over)' already likely to hit the top spot in the UK this year, and Aussie warbler Delta Goodrem (her off the titles to Neighbours) expected to dominate to Antipodean market with her own version, EMI have now announced that the John Lennon original will be re-released on Monday (8th December).

Why? Why do you think? The release comes 23 years to the day after Lennon was murdered, and will be backed by 'Imagine' and 'Instant Karma'. So, that's a best-of for the price of a single... bargain.

It's all enough to have the man spinning in his grave.
