¡Forward, Russia! + Youthmovies = tour
crablin by Colin Roberts June 1st, 2006

Oooooh yes. What a splendid bill. Makes me want to get a little naked actually.

Two of the UK's most interesting bands are heading out on the road together this July. I read somewhere, possibly Wikipedia, that if you don't go to one of these dates, you're both ugly AND a heroin addict.

Leeds' finest ¡Forward, Russia! tag-team with Oxford's equally as finest (?) Youthmovies for a tour that reads like a Drowned in Sound-based wet dream.

¡Forward, Russia!'s debut Give Me A Wall is out right NOW through dance_to_the_radio and new single 'Eighteen' drops in July. Conversely, Youthmovies are hard at work on their debut full-length and lay down some heavy shizzle with an hour-long multimedia performance the Latitude festival in July. Yum tum yum tum yum tum yiddle like po!

July
7th SHEFFIELD The Plug
10th MANCHESTER Academy 3
11th NEWCASTLE Academy 2
13th LEEDS Secret Venue TBA
14th NOTTINGHAM Rescue Rooms
15th LATITUDE FESTIVAL Suffolk (Youthmovies only)
16th BIRMINGHAM Barfly
17th BRIGHTON Concorde 2
18th LONDON Garage
19th PORTSMOUTH Wedgewood Rooms
21st BRISTOL Academy 2
23rd TRUCK FESTIVAL Oxford

Tickets are selling like the hot cakes Katie Russia enjoys baking regularly. Details and tickets for the secret Leeds show will be unveiled seven days before the date. Youthmovies will be filling the gaps on the tour with headline performances in different cities. I'm hungry. I would like a hot cake.
