Feel Depressed? Mozza Knows...
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver March 10th, 2004

Feeling down? Want that perfect record to soundtrack your misery? Well, listeners of 6Music can help...

With Valentine's Day behind us and summer around the corner, what better way to spend the day than making up charts of songs to kill yourself to? Brilliant. Anyway, 6Music (that's some digital station that you probably can't get, unless you have Sky or the internet at home, in which case I hate you) have compiled a chart of songs ideal for 'down times', like when your cat dies, or when a member of the DiS staff hacks off one of its legs for our cruel master. Either way, it's all cat-related. Probably.

The chart reads as follows:

  1. The Smiths - I Know It's Over

  2. Bowling For Soup - Girl All The Bad Guys Want

  3. REM - Everybody Hurts

  4. The Cure - Pictures Of You

  5. Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees

  6. Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart

  7. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb

  8. Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel - Don't Give Up

  9. Blur - This Is A Low

-10. The Beatles - Good Day Sunshine

-10. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under The Bridge

**DiScuss: Bowling For _fucking _Soup? Why don't they just put the Birdie Song in there and be done with it? What're your 10 songs for depression? Better still, what 10 songs make you wanna kill yourself?
