What An Excellent CD... Well Kinda
jmoore by James Moore April 26th, 2001
American music website Excellent are giving away a free CD's worth of mp3s.

To celebrate the re-launch of their site, they'll be giving away a free CD's worth of mp3's to anyone who stops by the site and downloads it.

Their press released reads:
"Our idea was this: Get a bunch of great American indie artists to cover UK tracks, and get a bunch of great British indie artists to cover US tracks. We contacted several of our friends, and the end result is truly stunning. All but one of the tracks are previously unreleased, and most were recorded exclusively for this project.

The "disc" will appear on the site in the form of downloadable CD-quality mp3's, complete with a downloadable cd cover, sleeve, and liner notes (designed by Excellent member Liz Schwartz.) All you have to do is download the tracks, download the cover, and burn it off in the comfort of your own home... and *poof*, you've got your own DIY disc."

The bands feature on the site will be:

British Bands
Brave Captain
Koala
Fiel Garvie
Lorna
The Skillbillies

American Bands:
Victor Delorenzo
The Marshmallow Coast
The Autumns
Paula Kelley
The Arrogants
The Multiple Cat
Einstein's Sister
Turnerjoy
Novasonic Down Hyperspace
The Danglers
Driver Of The Year
