Wolf Gang - Suego Faults

Habzy1234 by Habiba Khanom
'Suego Faults' is the long awaited album by the London band and the project of Max McElligott, Wolf Gang. He took a risk and dropped out of university for this band. I reckon he did the right thing as this record is ravishing.

Filled with marvellous cheerful songs, this album has gotten me excited for the summer. It's definitely an album for summer 2011. 'Lions and Cages' has had a few radio plays and one of the songs I heard on the radio since early this year. A nice melodic tune, a cross between MGMT and The Killers. They've got that electro pop thing going on.

'The King and All of his Men' has been around since 2009 and they re-released and re-recorded another version of the song for this album.

'Something Unusual' I think is my favourite song off the album. A perfect synthy pop song.

There isn't one song on the album that doesn't put a smile on your face. They are all joyful pleasant songs, perfect to listen to when you're feeling down.

Max McElligott did a good job. Influenced by likes of David Byrne, Brian Eno and David Bowie and we can hear some of the influences in some of the songs.

Not quite rock n roll, cheesy electro rock/pop maybe, but worth a listen.
