Miranda

Product Of A Dead-End Nation

Label:

athomas by Andy (quirk) Thomas November 25th, 2001

Guitar, bass, drums, and a passionate male vocal. Musically they sound more like Young Person’s Guide To Being A Rockstar spoof band Jocks Wahey *than *Oasis, but this is no bad thing. It’s classic guitar rock that strikes at Stereophonics territory and thankfully misses by several miles. Lead track Radio Lies starts off sounding like The Clash but swiftly moves into a soaring britpop chorus with the other three tracks attempting various takes on the same formula. Final track _Disclaimer sounds worryingly like Three Colours Red though, or to be more precise it has the same chord sequence as This Is My Hollywood. Good solid, if not overly original, material then.
