One Too Many

Demo

Label: Release Date: 24/11/2003

DiSvsMatt by Mat Hocking November 26th, 2003

One too Many, whilst professing to be a pop-punk band, most definitely have a hardcore edge to their style that gives a nice foot-stamping slant to their obvious punk leanings. It’s a style that’s noticeably in tune with the youth crew acts of the late nineties, lyrics such as _“Stand up proud / Don’t back down / Speak your mind / It’s your time” _carrying on the up-for-it attitude of those acts through positive hardcore lyricism, made all the more pertinent to the scene when shouted out by a female vocalist. In fact, given time and a little work on her more melodic moments, OTM’s frontwoman could well turn out to be hardcore’s much needed female ambassador, so spot on is she with her vocal attack.

Ok so they’re not quite there yet but this is one quality act to keep your eye on.
