Caretaker

Routine

Label: Badmusic Release Date: 04/12/2000

jmoore by James Moore March 10th, 2001

Second release from the boys from Petersfield

Really not too sure about this, I adored their previous release '(pause) EP' and Seb, the bassist, told me little later on that they weren’t that happy with it they’d be back with even better songs.

So when I got this I shoved it straight into my CD player anticipating something that I could call genius but ended up being really disappointed. On first listen I thought "Hmmm is this it?", then decided to give it another listen where I decided that "Seb's a liar, this is no way near as good as their previous release, there are tiny hints of something superb but then they arse it up, the production is too clean cut and those Herrod lads have nicked their 'I wanna play like Idlewild+Mogwai+Seafood title'", now after countless listens I've decided that I'm just gonna listen to the '(pause) EP' and hope they sort out their act for the Fierce Panda mini-album.
