Engerica

Trick Or Treat

Label: Wrath Records Release Date: 08/09/2003

4823
-Raz- by Raziq Rauf September 4th, 2003

It’s difficult to understand why it has taken *Engerica *so long to release this gem of a single. Their peers of recent months have almost left them behind, but a slow start is better than a total withdrawal.

With three tracks of wondrously tainted urgency pulsing at you, this single must be the start of something much, much better. Yelping and howling their requests of sexual ruin and all-encompassing hatred through lightly throbbing metal, you get the faint feeling you are being mocked. But throughout you can see the genuine intention, albeit rubbing around in dirty, gristly heavy rock.

There is nothing remotely veiled about Engerica. It is all there in your face, on your doorstep and scrabbling around trying to get into your bottom. It’s been there for a while. I suggest you get to it before it goes all minging and crusty.
