'Death Song', eh? Sounds like something that'd more likely be penned by southern hardcore tykes Jets Vs Sharks than Jet Johnson, but it is indeed the hubby-wife-plus-one trio (now living it up, possibly, somewhere in Norway) that are responsible for this misleadingly titled EP - there really is nothing to fear here.

If you're smart you'll have JJ's last album, 'Micropolitan', already, and will therefore know all about the lush 'Death Song'. What Caroline Nesbo is singing about isn't always clear, but with a voice like hers who cares - it's an aural cuddle, a blanket that envelops your ears and keeps them snug and safe from harm. (Like I said, there really is nothing for you to worry about.) Two of the other three songs here - 'Rekkedal' and an acoustic take on old single '9000 Men' - are equally loveable, and only a bizarre remix of 'Le Jet' spoils the mood. It sounds like an offcut from 'Post'-era Bjork, which in my opinion isn't a good thing. Then again, chances are it'll be some peoples' favourite track here, replete with (out of character) squeals and bleeps. For kids with computers there's a decent animated video for 'Death Song' here too.

Really, let Jet Johnson huddle you into their little corner of the world; there's nothing to be afraid of whatsoever.
