The Kills

Love Is A Deserter

Label: Domino Records Release Date: 30/05/2005

8578
peteburns by Luke Putres June 1st, 2005

Self confessed "chain smoking vegans" The Kills** get down with the kids and return with a remix of a track from their most recent album 'No wow'. Following up their last hit 'The Good Ones' was always going to be a hard task and _'Love Is A Deserter' doesn’t fail to disappoint.

Alison* or VV* or whatever she’s called this week’s vocals are as yummy, PJ-when-she-was-still finger-paintin-intense as ever, and Hotel (Jamie Hince) is having the time of his life throwing shapes with itchy guitars and pat-a-cake plastic drums, but it's just not as good as the last one me thinks. That is all. Thankyou and goodnight.
