Why Won't You Give Me Your Love?

Label: Deltasonic Release Date: 03/04/2006

13251
dionisio by Rob Webb April 6th, 2006

Why won't I give you my love? Well, I like a comeback single to provide some example of musical evolution, and it helps if it sounds better than anything you've released before. Sorry, Dave and co, but this doesn't put a tick in either box.

Sure, it's a passable enough pop ditty, and I'd probably dance to it given enough stimulation, but I always had you guys down as a more-imaginative-than-many indie outfit and not merely a fly-by-night_ CD:UK_ sensation.

Perhaps I'm looking back with rose-tinted specs, but two years ago you had songs that were original - inventive, even - and this just seems so dull in comparison. Give me an extended saxophone solo or some Eastern-sounding guitar and I'm anybody's. For now, though, I'm going to be parting with neither my heart nor my cash...
